Phoenix Soleil is an organizational strategist, advisor, and mediator who helps leaders navigate conflict, difficult decisions, and complex interpersonal dynamics. She is especially skilled at helping leaders see what is happening beneath the surface—distinguishing interpersonal problems from structural ones, identifying patterns that are undermining collaboration, and determining what kind of intervention is actually needed.

With more than 20 years of experience in coaching, facilitation, and conflict transformation, Phoenix has worked with organizations including Google, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, UC Berkeley, the Insight Meditation Society, and the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute.

Phoenix works with values-driven leaders and teams who care deeply about their impact but can find themselves stuck in tension, miscommunication, avoidance, or difficult questions about roles, power, and decision-making. Her work often involves advising leaders through real, high-stakes situations: helping them make sense of what is happening, think strategically about how to respond, and prepare for conversations where the outcome matters.

Phoenix facilitates mediations, leadership retreats, strategic conversations, decision-making processes, and restorative dialogues.

Since 2018, Phoenix has been a partner and worker-owner at LIFT Economy, a worker-owned cooperative supporting mission-driven organizations. She is coauthor of The Next Economy MBA, published by Berrett-Koehler, and her writing has appeared in Tikkun and in anthologies including Colonize This!: Young Women of Color on Today’s Feminism, Homelands: Women’s Journeys Across Race, Place, and Time, and The Healing Power of Empathy. Phoenix is also a co-host of Next Economy Now, where she explores the human side of building a more just and regenerative economy through conversations about organizational culture, communication, conflict transformation, and restorative justice.

Phoenix is a Certified Trainer with the Center for Nonviolent Communication. She has trained in the racial equity methodologies of the Racial Equity Institute and Race Forward, and has facilitated trainings with Race Forward.

Phoenix completed Spirit Rock Meditation Center’s two-year Community Dharma Leader Program and is currently completing Sarah Peyton’s Resonant Healing Practitioner certification program. Her work is informed by decades of meditation practice, as well as training in improv theater and organizational and family constellation work. She is certified in Family Constellation Work through Sarah Peyton.

Ryan Honeyman is a Partner / Worker-Owner at LIFT Economy and coauthor of The B Corp Handbook and The Next Economy MBA, both published by Berrett-Koehler. For more than 15 years, Ryan has helped over 100 companies—including Patagonia, Allbirds, Ben & Jerry’s, and Thrive Market—become Certified B Corporations, recertify under evolving standards, and use certification as a catalyst for deeper organizational change.

In recent years, his work has expanded beyond standards and strategy into leadership embodiment and culture. Ryan works in long-term advisory and coaching relationships with founders, CEOs, and leadership teams to address the gap between stated values and lived behavior, helping leaders build organizations where governance, decision-making, and culture actually reflect their social and environmental commitments.

Ryan is the co-host of Beyond the B, a podcast exploring what is working and not working in the B Corp movement, and a co-host of Next Economy Now, a LIFT podcast highlighting leaders advancing regenerative and whole-systems approaches to business.
