Group of up to 12 mission-driven leaders
In-person gathering in Marin County in January 2027
Six monthly 90-minute group sessions on Zoom
Monthly 1:1 calls with a different member
Purpose
To foster a thriving, impact-oriented peer support group focused on leadership development.
Impact Peers offers a space for mission-driven leaders to engage in meaningful dialogue, feel less alone, celebrate their growth, and overcome difficult challenges in a mutually supportive and confidential environment.
Impact Peers also supports leaders in pursuing business goals, such as generating more revenue, attracting and retaining more customers, and building a better team, from a values and purpose-driven perspective.

This is a place to sit with the realization that I don't have everything figured out, and to witness others in the same place. There is something very powerful in that witnessing.
I fight for others to have this type of space, so why not me?
What members get from the group
The value of participating in this group includes, but is not limited to:
Witnessing and Support
Members have described the group as a space where they feel seen and supported. It is a place to say the hard things out loud, explore fears, and organize their thoughts.
Connection Beyond Isolation
In a world that often prioritizes independence, members find solace in the interdependence of the group. They know someone has their back, creating a sense of mutual understanding and belonging.
Vision and Thought Partnership
The group offers thought partnership on issues ranging from reimagining leadership norms, to working through complex situations with staff members, to finances, and more.
Patterns and Perspective
Members benefit from recognizing universal patterns in challenges, gaining new perspectives on problems they face in leadership and life.
Courage and Compassion
The safety and confidentiality of the space have allowed members to be braver, try out new ideas, and practice greater compassion for themselves and others.
Accountability
Members can name something they intend to try before the next session and ask the group to hold them accountable. Members have used this before to try courageous things.
Challenges members bring to the group
Members also use the group to work on current leadership challenges, such as:
- Managing and developing teams
- Building partnerships
- Balancing time and capacity
- Making growth decisions
- Decisions about the future of the organization, including an acquisition, a sale, a move to employee ownership, or succession

Who is facilitating Impact Peers?
Ryan Honeyman will facilitate Impact Peers. Ryan is a Partner and Worker-Owner at LIFT Economy, a worker cooperative and Certified B Corporation. He led and facilitated the original incarnation of Impact Peers in 2024.
He is coauthor of The B Corp Handbook and The Next Economy MBA, co-host of the Next Economy Now podcast and the Beyond the B podcast, and has worked with 150+ leaders at companies like Patagonia, Ben & Jerry's, Thrive Market, OluKai, Cabot Creamery, and many more.
Who should join
Impact Peers may fit you if you:
Lead or help lead an impact-oriented or mission-driven organization in any sector. This includes CEOs, founders, executive directors, and other senior leaders, as well as emerging leaders, board members, co-op leaders, consultants, and conveners of spaces and ecosystems.
Manage teams, partners, or other stakeholders and want peers to help you think through those relationships.
Want ongoing peer support and are willing to bring current challenges to the group and help other members with theirs.
Are working through a decision about the future of your organization, such as an acquisition, a sale, a move to employee ownership, or succession, or do not have a board or advisory group to think it through with.
Impact Peers may not be a fit if you cannot attend the in-person gathering, or if you expect to miss more than one of the six monthly sessions.
Questions before you apply?
Open houses are optional one-hour Zoom meetings where you can ask questions. You do not need to attend one to apply. All times are Pacific.

- Group dinner, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
- Travel home
- No sessions
After the in-person kickoff, the group meets monthly for 90 minutes on Zoom. Online sessions give impact leaders a confidential space to bring a current challenge to peers and ask for the kind of help they need, whether that is advice, experience, perspective, or support.
Each month, members are paired with a different member for a 1:1 call between group sessions. Pairings are assigned at kickoff so members can schedule the calls in advance. There is also a Google Group for communication outside of the live sessions.
Impact Peers is organized into six-month commitments. Members who are enjoying the group can roll over to the next six-month commitment.
Where the gathering will be held
The gathering will be held in scenic San Rafael, California, in Marin County. The plan is to meet in the boardroom at Avantspace Marin and to stay at AC Hotel San Rafael. Both are on Fifth Avenue in downtown San Rafael. The exact schedule, lodging information, lodging price, and other details will be finalized in the coming weeks.
Avantspace Marin
Avantspace is a beautiful, modern facility in downtown San Rafael. It has free Equator coffee, teas, a few other drinks on tap, and fruit. The group plans to hold its sessions in the boardroom. Visit the Avantspace website.

AC Hotel San Rafael
The group plans to stay at AC Hotel San Rafael. We are working to get pricing from the hotel and will update this page as soon as it is available. Members pay for their own lodging. Visit the AC Hotel San Rafael website.

San Rafael and Marin County
The gathering runs from Wednesday through Friday, with Day 3 set aside for travel home. Members who want to see more of the area can plan extra time around the dates.

Rates
Each rate includes the same program. The rates exist so that leaders in different financial circumstances can join the same group.
The cost to run the program: facilitation, preparation, coaching, and administration.
For members who can pay more, which helps keep the Supported and Reduced seats available.
You can pay, but it would mean cutting something you would rather keep.
Paying this would strain your finances or your organization's operating budget, even with planning.
Sliding scale
Some members have an organization with a leadership development budget. Others pay personally or work in organizations with little room for it. The Reduced and Supported seats are filled in the order people commit. If none of these rates fit, email [email protected].
Payment
The first step is to apply to join Impact Peers. Applying does not require payment. If you are accepted, you will receive a link to confirm your seat. Every rate can be paid with a $2,500 deposit, with the balance due January 15, 2027, or in full with a 2% discount. Fees are not refunded for missed sessions.
Travel, lodging, and food
Members pay their own travel, lodging, and food for the gathering, estimated at about $500-$1,000 per person, depending on where you are traveling from and your accommodation choices.
What is included in every rate
Six 90-minute group sessions
All facilitation costs for the in-person gathering
One 60-minute 1:1 coaching session with Ryan, scheduled at your convenience
Monthly 1:1 pairings with other members
Google Group for communication, questions, and support between sessions
The commitment to show up
Your regular attendance matters for the whole group, not only for you. We ask members to aim to attend at least 5 of the 6 sessions and to treat the sessions as a priority in their calendars. If you expect to miss more than one, talk with Ryan so you can decide together whether the commitment fits.

Frequently asked questions
We are being very intentional about creating this group. A dynamic, supportive, and engaging group depends on having the right people in it, and that means balancing many factors. If anyone could simply sign up, we might not end up with the best mix of personalities, experiences, expertise, and more. The application gives us the chance to learn about each person and to build the group thoughtfully. We know an application asks more of you than a simple sign-up, and we appreciate the time you put into it.
If you have any questions or concerns about this approach, please email Ryan at [email protected].
Yes. Members need to attend the gathering. It is where the group builds relationships and trust before the virtual sessions begin. Plan to be there from the afternoon of the first day through the evening of the second day.
The in-person gathering is held in San Rafael, in Marin County, over two nights, with one full day of gathering in the middle. The first-choice dates are January 27-29, 2027, and the backup dates are February 10-12, 2027. The exact schedule will be finalized in the coming weeks. The current plan is to meet in the boardroom at Avantspace Marin in San Rafael, with lodging at AC Hotel San Rafael. The basic structure is:
Day 1 (Wednesday): Arrive and check in to lodging. A welcome and orientation session runs from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., followed by dinner with the group from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Day 2 (Thursday): The full-day gathering runs from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., followed by dinner with the group from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Day 3 (Friday): Members travel home. There are no sessions.
Members pay their own travel, lodging, and food.
Yes. Members who stay in the group for several years should plan for at least one in-person gathering per year. Depending on what the group decides, there could be up to two per year. That is still to be determined.
If some members leave and new members join, we will also want to hold another in-person session so that the group can build the same close-knit relationships that help sustain longer-term Zoom meetings. The exact date, time, and location of any future gathering will be decided in partnership with the members.
Yes. Please share this page with them and invite them to apply, or to contact Ryan at [email protected].
Possibly. Please email Ryan at [email protected] to discuss.
No. The group is open to leaders who practice leadership regardless of formal title, including emerging leaders, board members, co-op leaders, consultants, and conveners of spaces and ecosystems.
No. The group is open to leaders of impact-oriented and mission-driven organizations, whether or not the organization is a Certified B Corporation.
Yes, if you can attend the gathering and the timing of the monthly calls works for you. Members cover their own travel to the gathering. Exact monthly call times are still to be determined.
It is similar, but it is open only to impact-oriented and mission-driven leaders. Many executive peer groups are open to leaders from any kind of organization. Because every member of Impact Peers leads an impact-oriented or mission-driven organization, members can bring questions about staying true to that purpose while making business decisions, as well as questions about their own development as leaders. The group is small, with a target of 12 members. It begins with an in-person gathering so that members know each other before the monthly calls start, and between group sessions members have rotating 1:1 calls with each other and one coaching session with Ryan.

No. Please complete the application to apply, or email Ryan at [email protected] with any questions. The first round of applications will be reviewed on November 9, 2026, and the deadline to apply is December 15, 2026. Attending an open house is optional and is not required to apply. Open houses are available for anyone who wants to ask questions before applying. Each is a one-hour Zoom meeting, and all times are Pacific. The open houses are Wednesday, November 4, 2026, 8:00-9:00 a.m., and Wednesday, December 9, 2026, 10:00-11:00 a.m. Registration links are in the Questions before you apply section on this page.
Admission is by application. The target is 12 members. If more than 12 people commit, we may cap the group. We need at least 8 members to launch.
Applying does not require payment. If you are accepted, you will receive a link to confirm your seat. A $2,500 deposit holds your seat, and the remaining balance is due January 15, 2027. Members who pay the full rate receive a 2% discount.
If you are accepted, it is likely that you will want to stay longer than six months. Because it is budget season, we encourage you to budget for participating for a full year. Members can roll over to another six-month commitment, and we will check in well before the six months end to talk about what a new session looks like.
The session can be scheduled at your convenience.
Fees are not refunded for missed sessions. Sessions are not recorded, to preserve the group's privacy.
