Sharon Rowe: The Magic of Tiny Business

In this episode of Next Economy Now, Shawn Berry, a Partner at LIFT Economy, interviews Sharon Rowe, founder and CEO of ECOBAGS. ECOBAGS was one of the first brands to market with their reusable tote bags, founded in 1989 in NYC.  I have had the pleasure to get to know Sharon over the last few years as a part of the Hudson Valley and NYC B Corp communities. And what inspires me about Sharon is not just that she started a for profit solution based approach to environmental activism, but she also did that while raising kids, pursuing her acting career and still takes vacations.

In this episode we discuss:

  • Her story of starting and growing her company slowly

  • Relationships as the key to business success

  • Magic of Tiny Business and the value of a well rounded life

  • Women in business, how things have changed over the last 3 decades
